2 October 1997: US firm Glasslam says that it has developed the first high-speed line for the production of liquid resin laminated glass. The company claims that this new concept is capable of producing 3,600 square feet of laminated glass per eight-hour shift. The glass has a seven-minute curing time. Using the new infra oven reportedly allows the quality, clarity and security of Glasslam laminated glass in much less time. The first of these high-speed lines is in production in Florida, US, and several others are reportedly being installed.
