Glass manufacturing expert, C. Philip Ross has released two DVDs, covering Air Emission Issues in Glass Melting Furnaces and Glass Melting Furnaces.
These in-depth DVDs discuss function, furnace types, glass batch formation, refractories and issues, along with ethical considerations and socioeconomic implications.
The DVDs review air emissions characteristics from glass melting furnaces, including the historical regulatory trend (past, present, and near future), issues concerning new and existing furnaces, as well as drivers to change emission standards. This 3 1/2 hour course covers:
- Criteria Pollutants and Measurements
- Glass Segments and Furnace Types
- Permitting Issues
- Emissions Sources and Generation Mechanisms
- Furnace Operations – Process Control
- Add-on Control Technologies
