Glass America is increasing its market share in western New York thanks to the acquisition of Precision Auto Glass, which will also provide immediate additional growth.
Glass America has completed a transaction to acquire auto glass repair and replacement retailer, New York based Precision Auto Glass.
“This transaction broadens Glass America’s market share in western New York and brings the company immediate additional growth and other interesting opportunities,” says Mike Barry, CEO of Glass America.
As part of the transaction Glass America, based in Chicago, will obtain Precision Auto Glass’ customer list.
“The owner of Precision Auto Glass was willing to combine our customers with his and wanted to move on from the auto glass business,” says Scott Wills, chief financial officer for Glass America. “We have operations in the western New York market as well and we considered Precision Auto Glass a competitor of ours so we are very happy with the acquisition and with the sizable customer list that we have obtained.”
“Customers of Precision Auto Glass will enjoy the full arsenal of benefits and quality workmanship that all Glass America customers receive,” says Alan Resnick, vice president of Glass America. “They can expect quick, prompt service, the fit of original-equipment glass, AGRSS certified technicians and one hour safe drive away time.”
