Australia“s Flat Glass Industries Ltd said it expects its sales revenue for the six months to 31 December 2006 to be AUD 15.5 million, up over 15% on the same period 2005. The consolidated net profit after tax attributable to members of the company is expected to be AUD 1.5 million, an increase of 5% compared to the same period 2005. The un-audited financial performance includes only a two-month contribution from the recently completed strategic acquisition of the Alternative Glass Supplies business in Melbourne. This business should make a meaningful contribution to Flat Glass“s 2H performance and help to offset the continuing negative impact on the earnings of its Sydney operations caused by the tough housing market in the city. Flat Glass is confident it will achieve a record level of earnings for the year ending 30 June 2007.
