The Stonegrove and Spur Road Estates in the London Borough of Barnet, UK, is undergoing regeneration scheme to redevelop to provide more than 900 homes in a new sustainable neighbourhood. In a partnership between the London Borough of Barnet, Family Mosaic Housing Association and Barratt Homes, Evolution – the name given to the scheme – is a mix of private and social housing in the Edgware area. Independent glass processor ESG supplied the almost 100 17.5mm toughened laminated glass panels, laminated with a diffused white interlayer, installed by specialist glazed system expert Alco Beldan at the new housing site. Alco Beldan commissioned ESG to produce the panels from its Tufflam range, in order to glaze 316 linear metres of GM Toproll 15/24 which make up the perimeter of the luxury apartments on the sixth and seventh floors of an apartment building in the new development. ESG, one of the UK“s most versatile independent glass processors, also supplied the glass also used in conjunction with Alco Beldan in another recent London redevelopment at Wembley City. The company also manufactures toughened laminated glass; fire resistant safety glass; high security glass to deter vandals and intruders; and a new Visionary designer glass range; as well as providing a comprehensive portfolio of other glass products and specialist processes.
