The QPlus project, launched in 2019 by Delatamax, recently reached a significant milestone with the sale of its 50th unit to Korus.
This technology was developed to improve the quality control of insulating glass through the use of advanced technologies and a high level of precision. QPlus is able to detect low-contrast defects, such as halos, suction cup marks on laminated glass and roller marks on tempered glass, which are challenges for many of the solutions currently available on the market.
The system provides detailed images of the detected defects, indicating their position on the glass sheet and their classification. The defect categories are predefined and, for each one, it is possible to set parameters to define the severity of the defect, with a colour-coded system ranging from green to red. The continued adoption of QPlus by companies reflects a growing focus on quality and optimisation of production processes in the insulating glass sector.
