The US company C.R. Laurence Co., Inc., (CRL), a major supplier to the glazing, construction and automotive industries, has acquired the Canadian company Stamford Glazing Supplies, headquartered in the Vancouver, Canada area. In the glazing business since 1955, Stamford is a major supplier to the glass industry in the Vancouver area, and also has a branch located in Calgary, Alberta. Don Friese, President and CEO of CRL, comments: “This acquisition is an integral part of our continuing commitment to the Canadian market. We will now be supplying our Canadian customers with over 1,000 new products that have been in the Stamford line. These will be in addition to the over 20,000 CRL products that we currently supply to the North American glass industry.” Mr. Friese concludes: “As part of this acquisition and our commitment to the Canadian market, CRL will be building a modern 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse to serve the Calgary, Alberta area. With this new facility, CRL CANADA will have four locations: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, and will truly serve our customers in Canada from coast-to-coast.” CRL is an ISO 9000 certified supplier to the glazing, industrial, construction and automotive industries. Offering more than 20,000 different products, the company serves the industry from 19 locations throughout North America.
