The Contemporary Glass Society (CGS) announces a call out to UK glass artists for an upcoming exhibition – Living with Glass. The exhibition will be an exciting showcase of bespoke glass in collaboration with the internationally renowned Vessel Gallery; a leading store-cum-gallery based in London“s vibrant Notting Hill. Applicants are asked to submit a proposal for a potential design project that could be lighting, wall panels or a new use of glass for an interior or architectural application; that could be produced in either small batch runs or limited edition for exclusive sale. The theme of the exhibition is to showcase work by contemporary UK glass artists, based upon the use of glass within interiors and architecture. The intention is to raise the profile, both nationally and internationally, of contemporary glass and the many applications and uses it has within modern interiors and living spaces. Renowned for representing the world“s best contemporary glass and ceramic design and limited edition and one off art objects, Vessel also fosters UK designers and is proud to champion home grown talent. The show will run throughout the months of September and October 2011 and will coincide with the international conference Living with Glass“ as well as the London Design Festival.
