Ardagh Group announced the appointment of Chris Thornton as Chief Operating Officer of Ardagh Glass Packaging-Europe, effective 1 October, 2026.
A respected leader with more than three decades of experience in the glass industry, Chris has been with Ardagh for 23 years and has held a number of leadership roles, most recently as Chief Operations Officer for AGP-North America. His appointment reflects the depth of experience and talent across the organisation as thew company continues to develop the leaders who will help shape the future.
As Chris prepares to assume his new role, Ardagh thanks his predecessor, Henrik Bonné, for 19 years of outstanding contribution and commitment to Ardagh. Henrik’s leadership has helped shape AGP-Europe, and he leaves a lasting legacy across the business.
