After more than six years as CEO of the LiSEC Group, Othmar Sailer has left the company. Othmar Sailer on the decision: “I really enjoyed working for LiSEC and have been able to make significant progress over time. An important task was, among many others, to build a reliable and competent management team, which I managed to do. Now is the time to devote myself to new tasks.”
Sailer put a strong focus on the development of strategy, culture, structures, the introduction and optimization of processes and, above all, the further development of product management: business units that shape the respective product groups were founded, the innovation rate rose sharply. Other focal points were the successful expansion of the service business and intensive work on digitization in the glass business.
Gottfried Brunbauer, who has been Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the LiSEC Group since November and previously served as CTO with Rosenbauer, a leading manufacturer of systems for firefighting and disaster protection, is the new CEO.
LiSEC based in Hausmening/Amstetten is a globally active group, which has been offering innovative individual and overall solutions in the field of processing and refining of flat glass for more than 50 years. LiSEC’s service portfolio comprises machines, automation solutions and services. In 2017, the group with its approximately 1,300 employees and more than 25 locations generated an aggregate turnover of about EUR 230 million at an export rate of more than 95%.
LiSEC develops and produces glass cutting and sorting systems, individual components and entire production lines for the production of insulating and laminated glass as well as machines for the processing of glass edges and tempering systems.
