Calex Electronics Develops New Infrared Temperature Sensor with Built-In Laser Sighting

PyroSight E series of infrared pyrometers available with built-in through-lens laser sighting.

The new PyroSight E series of infrared pyrometers from Calex Electronics are available with built-in through-lens laser sighting with remote activation and temperature ranges from -25 to 2000 degrees Celsius. Among the new models is a 5.1 micrometre device intended for temperature measurement in industrial glass manufacturing processes while minimising the effect of reflections. Possible applications for the sensor include float glass, bottle glass, furnace and gob temperature measurement, glass tempering temperature and lehr kiln temperature in annealing.
Calex Electronics offers several accessories for the sensor, including an air purge collar to keep dust, fumes, moisture and other contaminants away from the lens, air and water cooled housings that allow the sensor to withstand ambient temperatures above the normal 60 degree Celsius limit and a fixed or adjustable mounting bracket that offers rigid support for the sensor and fine one or two-axis adjustment. The PyroSight E can also be connected to any Pixsys indicating controllers for temperature display, PID control and alarm relay outputs.
