5 November 1998: The Belgian group BMT – Boechoutse Metaalgroep (annual turnover BFr 700 million), specialized in mechanical engineering, gearing, plating and glass moulds has acquired the British glass engineering company EFCO Ltd. (turnover close to BF 800 million for the financial year 1999 with 150 employed). The price of the transaction has not been disclosed.
