Big Sun Energy Launches 6″ Mono PV cells and iPV Tracker

Big Sun Energy Technology Inc. launches its latest solar cells. The company’s Combo-Cell technology reached 19.4% efficiency and increases power output over 260W

Big Sun Energy Technology Inc., a solar cell manufacturer based in Taiwan, recently launched its latest solar cell. The company’s patented Combo-Cell technology makes mono-crystalline cell conversion efficiency reach 19.4% and increase power output over 260W (on a 60-cell basis). Combo-Cell series products utilize six-inch mono wafers and its special alkaline texturing solution (IPA-less) to create a highly anti-reflective structure on the front surface. This structure improves its light absorption so that the cell External Quantum Efficiency (EQE) and short circuit current (Isc) can be enhanced.

Big Sun Energy will also demonstrate its latest patented iPV Tracker at PV Taiwan 2012, a lightweight and dual-axis sun tracking system for solar panels. iPV Tracker, moving in both horizontal and vertical axes, can track the sun’s motion automatically. By adjusting the position of PV modules to track the sun, iPV Tracker can boost the power yield by 30-40%. Combo-Cell and Combo-Cell-S cells will be presented along with iPV Tracker at PV Taiwan 2012 in the Big Sun booth (booth number D0230), October 3rd through the 5th, 2012.
