Glaston Technologies, part of the Kyro Group, announced 13 April 2007 that the new managing director of Bavelloni, the Italian manufacturer of glass and stone pre-processing machines and tools, will be Paolo Ceni, who takes up the post as of June 2007. Mr. Ceni, who has an engineering background, joins Kyro Group from the Italian company CMS, where he has been general manager since 2001. CMS is a manufacturer of CNC centres for wood, plastic, composite materials and, like Bavelloni, for stone and glass. Mr. Ceni has recently concentrated on developing the company“s profitability with good results. Before this, he worked for ten years in consultancy with the management consulting company Galgano Group in strategic planning and in redesigning production, processes and supply chains, amongst others. Mr. Ceni has an excellent basis for developing Bavelloni“s business and profitability as well as finalizing the ongoing efficiency program. Streamlining production and processes is also an important issue for Glaston, and Mr. Ceni has solid experience in this too, said the president and CEO of Kyro Group, Mika Seitovirta. Paolo Ceni will report to Mika Seitovirta and will be based in Bregnano, Italy. He will also be a member of the Management Team of Glaston.
