11 February 1999: The board of directors of the US-based producer of self-adhesive labels Avery Dennison Corp. has declared a quarterly cash dividend of US$ 0.24 per share. The dividend is payable on 17 March 1999, to shareholders of record at the close of business on 3 March 1999. Avery Dennison had sales of US$ 3.5 billion in 1998 and employs about 16,100 workers in 200 manufacturing and sales facilities in 89 countries. Meanwhile, the company also announced that its board of directors has elected Kent Kresa as a director of the company, effective as of 1 February 1999.
