6 May 1999: The Indonesian glassmaker PT Asahimas Flat Glass Tbk has reported net profits for 1998 of Rp 14.17 billion, compared with a loss of Rp 22.6 billion in the previous year. Net sales were also up at Rp 706.99 billion versus Rp 379.52 billion. Operating income also showed a significant rise from Rp 39.39 billion to Rp 175.51 billion. Net profit per share was also up from a loss of Rp 52 million to a rise of Rp 33 million in 1998. These results are audited.
