For the past six months, Ardagh Group‘s NextGen Furnace in Obernkirchen, Germany, has been producing low carbon glass bottles for customers in the beer sector.
In November 2023, the Group welcomed customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to see the furnace in action. The forming process and glass composition remain the same, but an innovative melting process delivers low carbon glass containers.
