Anchor Glass Container Corporation said 17 November 2005 that it has entered into a new multi-year agreement with Anheuser-Busch, Inc., to supply substantially all of the brewer“s glass requirements in the Southeast Region for product lines including Budweiser, Budweiser Select, Bud Light, Michelob, and Michelob Light. Anchor said it expected Bankruptcy Court approval of the agreement within 30 days. “Completing this contract is an extremely important step in our restructuring process,” said Mark Burgess, CEO of Anchor. “We are excited about continuing our relationship with this very important customer and look forward to supplying quality glass containers to Anheuser-Busch.” Anchor Glass Container Corporation is the third largest manufacturer of glass containers in the United States. It makes flint (clear), amber, green and other colored glass containers for the beer, beverage, food, liquor and flavored alcoholic beverage markets at eight plants.
