Turkish glass packaging manufacturer Anadolu Cam has raised the annual capacity of its Russian plant to 300,000 tonnes from 240,00 tonnes following the launch of a third furnace. The glass bottling plant is located at Ufa, in the Russian Bashkortostan republic in the southern Urals. “Anadolu Cam will continue investing in Russia as well as in Turkey”, Anadolu Cam“s parent company Sisecam said on 13 July 2007. The company has so far invested some USD 280 million (EUR 204 million) in Russia, where it also has two glass packaging plants in the Vladimir and Vologda regions. It operates plants in Turkey and one in Georgia. Anadolu Cam is the largest producer of beverage and food containers in Turkey and a member of glass and chemicals group Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari (Sisecam).
