AIG announces Guardian Select® Fabricator certification

American Insulated Glass expands high performance fabrication capabilities for commercial building envelopes

American Insulated Glass, LLC (AIG), a USA glass fabricator and wholesale distributor, announced the company has been certified as an independent Guardian Select® Fabricator in Atlanta (GA) and Birmingham (AL). With the recent acquisition of Innovative Glass of America (IGA), located in Charlotte (NC) – AIG can effectively meet the demand for Guardian SunGuard® Advanced Architectural Coated Glass from all three locations.

As an independent Guardian Select Fabricator, AIG will have access to Guardian Field Customer Engineers (FCE’s), a full suite of online tools and other resources provided by Guardian Glass for evaluating, specifying and visualizing the various glass solutions available. In addition to design tools, AIG will also have access to expert technical support for assistance with project wind load and thermal stress analysis, sustainability evaluations, Environmental Product (EPD’s), Health Product Declarations (HPD’s) and documentation of environmental performance.

“We are very pleased to have access to Guardian SunGuard coated glass products, a comprehensive range of low-E coating options to meet the most complex performance and design aesthetic requirements,” said Billy Blair, President and CEO of AIG. “We have made significant investments in purchasing state-of-art fabrication equipment and business technologies, while also expanding the AIG brand from two to five locations in 2018.”

The company will continue to expand organically and through acquisitions to better serve new and existing customers.
