AGC Bor Glass plant increased net profit by 33.5 percent in 2020

At the end of 2020, AGC Bor Glass Plant (BSZ) received 8.01 billion RUB revenue, according to the financial statements of the company. Compared to 2019, the plant’s revenue decreased by 10.3 percent. However, the plant’s net profit in 2020 increased by 33.5 percent by 2019 to 1.46 billion RUB.

Revenue from the sale of automotive glass, which accounts for 85 percent of the total revenue structure of the plant, in 2020 decreased by 13 percent compared to 2019 and amounted to 6.55 billion RUB. Revenue from the sale of polished glass, which accounts for 15 percent of the plant’s revenue structure, increased by 6.6 percent to 1.46 billion RUB.

Most of BSZ products were sold in Russia. Revenue from the sale of products in the domestic market amounted to 6.59 billion RUB, which is 9.9 percent less than in 2019. In the CIS countries, BSZ sold products worth 72.59 million RUB, which is 10.9 percent more than a year ago. Revenue from sales of products in foreign countries decreased by 12.9 percent by 2019 to 1.34 billion RUB.

AGC Bor Glass Factory is 98.47 percent owned by AGC Glass Europe, which is part of the Japanese group Asahi Glass Co. Ltd, one of the largest glass manufacturers in the world.
