In this context, Filtraglass is taking a strategic step in its global positioning with the installation of one of its water filtration systems at a new production plant belonging to the company L&L Glass, in Denver, USA. This collaboration not only marks the company’s entry into the particularly demanding North American market, but also serves as validation of a technology capable of meeting the requirements of the glass industry.
L&L Glass is a company with a long history in the Denver area of Colorado, where it has established itself as a leading provider of bespoke glass solutions, particularly for interior applications such as shower and bath screens and mirrors. Its market position is built on a combination of expertise, precision in its processes and the quality of its finished products.
The launch of a new production plant marks another stage in its growth. In this context, water is an essential element in glass processing, both to ensure the machinery operates efficiently and to guarantee the quality of the final finish. Recognising this challenge, L&L Glass has decided to install the DG.365.F system from Filtraglass, designed to operate in areas with multiple connected machines.
One of the key features of this installation is its configuration: the DG.365.F system is connected to four edging machines that operate simultaneously. This integration allows for centralised water treatment and optimises its reuse throughout the production line.
The system works by collecting the water used in the various processes and filtering it to remove glass particles. The water is then returned to the circuit in a clean state. This approach ensures a continuous supply of water in optimal condition and significantly reduces the build-up of residue in the equipment.
The capacity of the DG.365.F system to adapt to setups with multiple connected machines represents a key added value, particularly in modern plants where automation and productivity are critical to competitiveness.
