American pressing equipment manufacturer Lynch Machinery recently announced that it has received recognition from the Export-Import Bank of the United States for its ability to meet the needs of glassmakers in growing and emerging markets. The Export-Import Bank is said to have the largest guaranteed financing programme in the world and distributed a total of US$ 11.8 billion for capital projects and new equipment in 1995. Through the scheme, Lynch says it can help glass manufacturers in countries where capital markets are limited or restrictive gain access to low-rate US government-guaranteed financing for the purchase of the company“s equipment. Lynch also claims that rates are as low as US prime rate plus 1% and that the process only takes a few months to complete.
