Polish glass producer Huta Szkla Gospodarczego Irena SA (Irena) has reported that its profit for the first five months of 1996 has fallen to Zl 2.36 million (Zl 4.05 million for the respective period in 1995). Although sales dropped only slightly to Zl 21 million (Zl 22.28 million), operating profit slumped 65% to Zl 1.08 million (Zl 3.06 million).
