The Czech Republic glassware producer Moser a.s. is keeping its prices 15-20% below those of its leading international competitors, Baccarat and Saint Louis of France. The company, which saw export sales stagnate in 1993 after deciding to handle its own exports, has seen them recover to 55% of output. Exports to Austria, for example, are growing strongly and Moser is supplying shops direct from its Karlovy Vary factory, with many customers ordering up to six months in advance.
