Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd., Sumitomo Corp. and a Chinese glass maker are planning to make a JPY 10 billion investment to set up a glass manufacturing joint venture in China. The venture will start production in 1997 at a rate of 150,000 tonnes a year, and expects JPY 5 billion sales in the initial year.
