Japanese Asahi Glass and US-based DuPont have entered into a project with Japanese company Dai Nippon Printing Co., to create an improved Lippman-type full-colour hologram. Dai Nippon provided its high-definition replication know-how to the project while DuPont developed a new holographic film as part of the process of coming up with a more refined, multicolour three-dimensional product. Asahi Glass plans to use the hologram in a head-up display for automotive uses, among other applications.
