Zecchetti of Italy recently announced that it had received orders for a total of twelve of the latest addition to its bulk glass container palletizing product line. Italian container producers Cooperativa Piegarese and Italiana Vetr.I will take delivery of eight and four automatic universal PAL620 , respectively, at the end of the year. The packing systems include individual automatic tray erectors and the new self-adjusting layer centering frames. Zecchetti said that two prototypes of the universal palletizer have shown near perfect performance in full time production in two glass plants for over one year, amply demonstrating the value of this new technology. The firm added that with the possibility of configuring the model PAL 620 for either sweep type layer transfer or pick-and-place transfer, the machine can bulk palletise virtually any container shape. The highly advanced universal palletiszer enters a complete line-up of automatic floor level bulk container handling machines, including the pantograph model and the versatile twin boom rotating system.
