American Glass Research, a division of AGR International, recently opened two regional test centers in Europe. According to AGR officials, the move is part of their long-term plan to provide the highest level of service and support to a growing international customer base. These two new test centers are wholly owned subsidiaries of AGR International and are staffed by factory-trained personnel. The centers are located in conjunction with established AGR sales and service offices in Europe. The Leese, Germany test center, operated under the direction of AGR Europe GmbH, will serve Northern Europe and Central, Eastern Europe. The Montecchio Emilia, Italy test center, operated under the direction of AGR Europe S.r.l., will serve South Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. The new test centers combine the experience and knowledge that customers of American Glass Research have come to expect along with AGR Europe“s thorough understanding of the European market. The opening of the new test centers also reflect the marketplace“s continuing requests for research and training services and provides a number of benefits to customers including faster response time, local language capabilities, improved delivery times, and more economical service-related travel expenses. A wide range of services will be offered including, new design qualification, qualification testing of production quality, analysis of breakage problems, Glass technology services, analysis of glass production problems, filling line impact evaluations, and assistance with lawsuits and product liability cases.
