Eclipse, Inc., a global leader in combustion solutions for industrial applications, announced 6 April 2006 that it has acquired the intellectual assets and brand name of Laidlaw Drew Ltd. Headquartered in Livingston, Scotland, Laidlaw Drew has been an international supplier of burners and complete combustion systems to the glass, metallurgical and process heating industries. “We intend to incorporate selected products of Laidlaw Drew into our catalog”, says Lachlan Perks, President and Chief Operating Officer of Eclipse. “We are excited that with this purchase, Eclipse offers the most extensive line of combustion equipment, technical support and services for the glass industry worldwide”. Through a disciplined integration plan, Eclipse will endeavor to have selected products and spare parts available as soon as practical for Laidlaw Drew equipment sold previously. These products will be tested to insure that complete technical documentation and support will be available. Eclipse, Inc. has been at the forefront of the combustion industry for nearly 100 years. The company designs and manufactures a wide variety of gas, oil and oxy-fuel burners, recuperators and heat exchangers, complete combustion systems and accessories.
