For glass processors running edge grinding and seaming lines, belt life, edge quality and downtime are closely connected. A belt that maintains performance for longer can help support consistent production output, particularly on high-throughput glass processing lines.
DK Holdings Limited developed its Ultraflex Fortis Diamond Belt range for glass edge grinding and seaming applications where durability, finish consistency and reduced machine stoppages are important production considerations.
The range has been specifically developed for use on glass edge grinding and seaming machines. It builds on DK’s long-standing Flexible Diamond manufacturing expertise, with the company’s belt technology used by glass processors worldwide for more than 30 years.
Ultraflex Fortis has been field-tested with DK’s global partners in live glass processing environments. In selected applications, the Ultraflex Fortis belt has achieved up to three times longer life than DK’s standard belt, offering processors a tooling option developed around high-output production demands.
The belt is manufactured within DK Holdings’ ISO-certified production facilities in the United Kingdom and is available in a variety of sizes to fit major glass edge grinding and seaming machines.
Belt selection depends on more than size alone. DK’s technical team works with customers to consider the machine, glass thickness, feed rate, coolant use, stock removal requirement and desired edge finish before recommending a suitable belt grade and construction.
This application-led approach allows processors to match the belt to the working conditions of the line, supporting consistent quality without unnecessary compromise on output.
DK Holdings is showcasing the Ultraflex Fortis belt during glasstec 2026, Düsseldorf, from October 20 to 23 at Stand B24 in Hall 11. Visitors will be able to discuss belt applications for glass edge grinding and seaming, as well as wider Flexible Diamond and precision diamond tooling requirements for the glass industry.
