Glass Technology Services (GTS), in partnership with the Society of Glass Technology, invites applications for the GTS Award for Impact in Applied Glass Research 2026.
The application deadline is July 31, 2026.
This award recognises early career researchers whose work in applied glass science and technology demonstrates strong potential for real-world impact.
What’s on offer
- 30 hours of mentoring and technical support from GTS (valued at GBP 10,000)
- GBP 250 cash prize and award certificate
- Two runners-up prizes of GBP 125 and certificates
Eligibility
Applications are open to early career researchers worldwide (within 7 years of September 1, 2026) working in glass science or technology.
Submissions can be made directly or via nomination.

Winners will be announced at the Society of Glass Technology Annual Conference in Cambridge, taking place September 7 to 9, 2026.
