HORN signs contract for new 800 tpd float glass plant in Iraq

HORN Glass Industries has signed a contract with Al Rida Investment for the construction of a new float glass plant in Najaf, Iraq. The plant will have a production capacity of 800 tonnes per day.

With this project, HORN Glass Industries underlines its international project expertise in the field of turn-key glass plant solutions. The plant will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and will make a significant contribution to expanding glass production capacities in the region.

Of particular importance for the realisation of the project is the financing, which is being structured in cooperation with Commerzbank AG and AKA Bank. The financing framework provides the foundation for the successful execution of the project and underlines the confidence of all parties in its long-term prospects.

The delivery of the equipment is scheduled for 2027. Commissioning of the new glass plant is planned for 2028.
