AGC has announced the availability of third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its low-carbon Pyrobel fire-resistant glass as well as for standard Pyrobel glass.
This milestone follows the launch of AGC’s next-generation fire-resistant glass with a reduced carbon footprint. By combining proven fire performance with significantly lower Global Warming Potential (GWP), Low-Carbon Pyrobel represents an important step forward in sustainable building materials.
Third-party verified EPDs provide transparent and reliable environmental data, supporting architects, designers and project stakeholders in meeting sustainability requirements. In total, 16 official EPD declarations are now published on the INIES platform, covering several Pyrobel product families in both standard and low-carbon versions, for stock sizes and cut sizes.
Reduced global warming potential
Low-Carbon Pyrobel glass achieves significant reductions in GWP (CO₂ eq/m²) compared to standard products, making Low-Carbon Pyrobel the benchmark fire-resistant glass range for embodied carbon values.

Reducing the environmental footprint of its products is a key priority for AGC, in line with the Group’s roadmap towards carbon neutrality and improved circularity.
With Low-Carbon Pyrobel, AGC continues to support the construction sector in delivering safer and more sustainable buildings.
Third-party verified EPDs are available on the website www.agc-pyrobel.com.
