Beverage producers Fever Tree introduced their Supplier Sustainability Award to recognise partners “who are genuinely moving the needle, whether that’s reducing carbon, improving circularity, sourcing responsibly, or supporting their communities.”
Posting on social media on Earth Day, April 22, Fever Tree congratulated Encirc for being the first supplier to win the award, writing, “Huge congratulations to Encirc, our first-ever winners. They produce the glass bottles for our drinks and are leading the way in decarbonising glass production.
“They’ve made impressive progress cutting emissions, backed by ambitious targets and investment in genuinely game-changing technology to bring them down further. They’re now ranked by CDP as having the lowest emissions intensity among their peers.”
Encirc replied, writing, “Many thanks to Fever-Tree for this award, we are proud to be recognised in an area that is so important to us. To be the inaugural Sustainable Supplier of the Year winner is extra special.
“We all recognise real change takes collaboration. This World Earth Day, we are proud of the partnerships, innovation and leadership driving our journey to decarbonise glass manufacturing, benefiting customers, communities and the planet.”
