GIMAV strengthens commitment to key issues

In recent months, GIMAV has strengthened its commitment to some key issues for the future of the supply chain: internationalisation, innovation, training and concrete support for member companies.

In view of China Glass 2026, attention is already paid to the main development drivers of the sector: process innovation, automation, digitalisation, intelligent plant integration, production efficiency, quality and international competitiveness. To better accompany the member companies, GIMAV will be present at the fair with the General Manager, Lucia Masutti, and the Head of Internationalisation & Institutional Relations, Umberto De Lorenzo, together with CASAGIMAV, a new point of reference and networking for members.

Great attention is also paid to the Artificial Intelligence theme: after the success of the first meeting on January 30, the new webinar on April 15 will be dedicated to OpenClaw, an open source AI assistant designed to support operational activities and concrete workflows in companies.

Among the markets to be observed with greater attention is Africa, which is now increasingly strategic for the Italian glass supply chain. In particular, Marocco is confirmed as a fast-growing market and an increasingly important hub for access to sub-Saharan African markets.

On the regulatory and organisational front, an in-depth webinar on the EU Pay Transparency Directive will also be held on 22 April, carried out in collaboration with RÖDL Italy, to help companies understand the obligations, impacts and operational implications of the directive.

Alongside all this, the story of the realities that make up the sector also continues: companies that, with competence, innovation and specialisation, contribute every day to the growth of the entire supply chain.
