Glaston: another milestone for TPS® insulating glass technology

Soon, the very first JUMBO TPS® insulating glass line will go into operation at MATPOL’s production site in Skawina, Poland. MATPOL is one of the leading window and façade manufacturers in Poland and is investing in Glaston TPS® IG technology for the first time.

The highlight of this IG manufacturing line is the new automatic assembly, gas filling and press robot UNIT’ASSEMBLER for up to 4-sided stepped insulating glass units in a maximum format of 3,300 by 7,000 millimetres. For the first time, it is possible to produce IG units with a bottom edge of the fourth step of 0 to 200 millimetres and a maximum glass weight of 400 kilograms per metre.

For MATPOL, a specialist in façade glazing, these technological developments are of particular strategic importance and underscore the company’s leading position in the Polish market, especially in the production of façade elements.

Recently, Glaston had the pleasure of welcoming Mateusz Sagan and Szymon S. to its Glaston Germany site in Neuhausen-Hamberg for an extensive factory acceptance test. The results were excellent, and MATPOL was truly impressed with the new production possibilities that this new line will offer them.
