Ambev, part of the international brewing group Anheuser-Busch InBev, has reached another important milestone together with HORN Glass Industries: as planned, the heating-up of the new glass melting furnace began on October 8, 2025. The furnace will be used for the production of high-quality container glass for the South American market.

The new 400 tonnes per day regenerative furnace is equipped with 3 forehearths and produces glass in flint, amber, and green. This furnace is particularly designed to produce the maximum pull in all three colours for both, 6 percent electrical share and even up to 20 percent electrical share by HORN e-fusion power boosting.
HORN acted as a turnkey supplier for all technological equipment, including refractory materials, steel structure, E-Fusion power-boosting technology, supervision, installation and commissioning. The scope of supply also included training and production support. The latest forehearth series, HORN GCS® 301-advanced, is also being used in this project.

The company is proud of the work accomplished and of the experienced HORN team on site, ensuring that everything proceeds as planned so that glass production can begin soon.
HORN extends its gratitude to Ambev for the excellent cooperation and continued trust in HORN technology. Together, another step has been taken toward modern, efficient and sustainable glass production in South America.
