Vitro Architectural Glass successfully began heating up the furnace on Line 1 at its Carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA, facility after a 16-month hiatus.
The line was initially idled in early 2024 to undergo significant reconfiguration aimed at producing solar panel glass. To celebrate the milestone at Carlisle, the CEO, Adrian Sada, several executives and their teams came for a visit to get a first-hand view of the activities happening around the Carlisle facility.
As the plant resumes full operations, the local community and Vitro’s workforce are optimistic about the positive economic impact and the future growth opportunities this restart will bring.
