Visy opened its Laverton, Australia, glass recycling facility just over a year ago, where with state-of-the-art technology that can sort glass as small as 3 millimetres, the company has processed the equivalent of over 1 billion beer bottles.
That glass travels just 10 kilometres down the road to Visy’s Spotswood furnace where it’s transformed into brand-new bottles and jars for some of Australia’s most loved food and beverage brands.
