With over 10,000 gift and houseware trade professionals expected to attend, the 8th Asia Expo-London is the definitive Asian sourcing event. To meet the increasing sourcing requirements of local and international buyers, the show days of the London Expo have been extended to add a further day to a 4-day show, opening from 29 January – 1 February 2008. The 8th Asia Expo London, a “UFI – Approved Event” since 2003, will present the broadest selection of distinctive, diverse and directional Asian products from the gift, housewares, premiums and toy industries, direct from Asia. The 8th Asia Expo will host 600 exhibitor stands displaying competitively-priced Asian products brought to London by leading suppliers from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, India, Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Buyers will be able to view original and unusual products, plus everyday and essential items including arts and crafts, advertising and promotional gifts and premiums, home dcor and accessories, soft furnishings and textiles, stationery and desktop, baby and childrens products and toys, pictures and print, tabletop, travel goods, consumer electronics, festive and seasonal, cool gifts and gadgets and fun products, fashion accessories and home and garden. The 2007 show attracted a total of 10,161 buyers, a solid increase of 18% over the previous year“s attendance. While over 50% of the visitors came from the UK, many buyers came from France, Italy, Germany and Spain, as well as afar afield as South Africa, Middle East and the USA. Show Organiser Kenfair International is upbeat about the upcoming Asia Expo 2008, given the Asian products strong commercial appeal for the European buyers, presented right at the start of the year. “We know buyers conveniently incorporate their visit to Asia Expo-London into their sourcing trade show circuit. At Asia Expo, the buyers can view and select products direct from Asia, saving time and the cost of traveling to various countries in Asia”, said Mr. Duncan Cheung, managing director of Kenfair International. Admission for Asia Expo-London is free for trade buyers and industry professionals. To visit the show, buyers (who have not pre-registered and received their badges prior to the show) can simply register at the entrance to the Grand Hall, Olympia, West London, with their business cards.
