Wiegand Green Energy has good reason to celebrate: the new photovoltaic system on the roofs of Wiegand-Glas’ Großbreitenbach plant, Germany, was successfully put in operation at the end of May.
- Over 18,000 solar modules on the roofs of our warehouses
- Approximately 7 GWh of electricity generation per year
- Strengthening CO2 reduction, security of supply, and competitiveness
- By the end of August, almost 3.2 GWh had already been generated – equivalent to the annual consumption of almost 3,000 people
With the integration into the existing electricity infrastructure, the large-scale project was successfully completed, realised in close cooperation with the electrical workshop, the energy project team and external PV partners.
