That is why Weihai Blue Star wanted to verify insulating glass seal integrity and high overall quality.
A critical factor in the performance of these IGUs is their ability to maintain an optimal gas fill over time. Proper gas retention ensures superior insulation performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with international quality standards. However, without a reliable and non-invasive method to verify gas concentration levels, quality control teams face uncertainty about the long-term effectiveness of the IGU seal and the sealants used in production.
To address this challenge, Weihai Blue Star turned to the Sparklike’s Handheld device, a non-invasive gas measurement tool designed specifically for IGUs. This technology allows manufacturers to verify the gas fill content without compromising the integrity of the unit, offering a seamless, efficient, and damage-free alternative to traditional invasive testing methods.
In a demonstration video, Weihai Blue Star showcased the effectiveness of Sparklike Handheld by submerging an IGU in a water tank and subsequently measuring its gas concentration. Despite exposure to external conditions, the unit retained its original gas fill level, proving the reliability of the IGU seal, the sealant, and the overall manufacturing process. This entertaining test reinforced confidence in their products and validated the insulating glass seal integrity and performance of their insulating glass units also in real-world applications.
