Gimav, the Italian Association of Glass Machinery and Accessories Manufacturers, recently announced a change in fees for the transfer and services of technicians abroad for flat glass-working machinery from its associated companies. The changes are effective as of 1 July 1996 and are outlined in the box below. The fees listed in the chart do not include lodging expenses, round-trip travel and any additional related costs (baggage transport, etc.). Vitrum, the two-yearly specialised international exhibition for flat, bent and hollow glass manufacturing, equipment and plants organised by Gimav, has changed venue and will no longer be held at Lacchiarella. Rather, the upcoming exhibition Vitrum “97, scheduled to take place from 22 – 25 October 1997 will be held at a new venue: Fiera Milano-Portello, Pavilion P2. The newly-erected pavilion was built with the most modern construction technology and techniques for exhibition space. It is located in the centre of Milan and has an approximate size of 20,000 sq. m.
