France“s Verrieries Souchon Neuvesel (part of the Danone group), better known by its BSN Emballages brand name, is to invest about FFr 230 million in its Labegude (Ardeche) production site where it currently manufactures 150 million glass bottles a year and employs 176 people. The investment mainly involves expanding the unit by 11,000 sq. m. to house a new furnace. The company, whose head offices are at Villeurbanne, France, had turnover of FFr 3.2 billion in 1995 with a total workforce of 3,500.
