It has been announced, following a meeting of the liquidators and Walloon Prime Minister Robert Coliignon“s department that five takeover proposals have been made for the Belgian crystal manufacturer Val Saint-Lambert, including a request for information by a Portuguese company. Apart from the Walloon region, there are three private candidates, one of which, an industrialist, wants to remain anonymous. The company has an order book in the region of BFr 50 million. Its turnover figure was described as “correct”. Contacts are still under way with the current owner, the Fleming Patrick Depuydt, about the conditions for the transfer of his shares. No deadline has been set.
