Stewart Engineers will provide StewartFloat® furnace design and technology to a South American glass manufacturing facility with a daily production capacity of 800 metric tonnes, producing glass for both the architectural and automotive markets.
Stewart Engineers recently signed a new contract to provide StewartFloat® furnace design and technology in South America. The glass manufacturing facility will have a daily production capacity of 800 metric tonnes with a thickness range of 2-19mm and will produce glass for both the architectural and automotive markets. The start-up of the new line is scheduled for 2013.
The StewartFloat® furnace makes, the US company says, the best glass products for most applications, including architectural, automotive and speciality products. Stewart Engineers has independently developed its StewartFloat® glass technology and has commissioned over 18 facilities in seven different countries.
