The 17th International Seminar on Furnace Design, hosted by Glass Service, will be held June 18 to 19, 2025, in Velke Karlovice, Czech Republic. This biennial event brings together over 150 glass experts from around the world to discuss the application of simulation and control tools, with the goal of optimising glass melting and forming processes.
The focus of the 2025 Seminar will be on presentations offering solutions for reducing CO2 emissions by 43 percent or more by the year 2030, in alignment with the Paris Agreement.
In this context, Stara Glass will be prominently featured, with Ernesto Cattaneo, Head of Innovation, scheduled to deliver two lectures. The first one will address the progress of the H2GLASS project, outlining the identified features of future hydrogen-powered glass furnaces. The second lecture, presented in collaboration with technicians from Glass Futures, will explore the distinctive features of Glass Futures’ highly innovative furnace, designed by Stara Glass.
