Sparklike, a global leader in non-destructive gas measurement solutions for insulating glass units (IGUs), announced the appointment of Sasu Koivumäki to its Board of Directors.
Koivumäki brings decades of international experience in glass processing technologies, with a proven track record in operational leadership, commercial growth, and large-scale technology transformation across global markets.
“We are very pleased to welcome Sasu to Sparklike’s Board,” said Tapio Volanen, Chair of the Board. “His deep understanding of the global glass industry and his leadership experience in technology-driven organisations will be a strong asset for Sparklike, particularly as IGU manufacturers place increasing emphasis on automation, quality assurance, and verified performance.”
Koivumäki has held multiple senior executive positions at Glaston Corporation, one of the world’s leading suppliers of glass processing technologies. His roles have included Deputy CEO as well as senior leadership positions in operations, sales, strategy, and business development. During his career, he has been closely involved in scaling advanced manufacturing technologies, driving organisational renewal, and supporting customers throughout the global glass value chain.
“Sparklike’s technology is highly relevant in today’s market,” said Koivumäki. “As insulating glass manufacturers face higher performance requirements, tighter specifications, and increasing regulatory scrutiny, accurate and non-invasive gas fill verification becomes essential. I look forward to supporting Sparklike as it continues to expand its global footprint and deliver value to manufacturers worldwide.”
Koivumäki’s appointment further strengthens Sparklike’s Board, which brings together expertise in strategy, advanced technology, and international market expansion.
“Sasu’s extensive background in glass processing solutions is a perfect fit for Sparklike,” said Atte Kuusisto, CEO of Sparklike. “His experience directly supports our mission to help IGU manufacturers ensure consistent quality and long-term performance through precise, non-destructive gas measurement.”
