Glass moulds manufacturer Skloform, based in the Czech Republic, has stated that its 1995 production output of Czk 160 million was about four-times bigger than the Czk 40 million in 1992. Since 1992, Skloform“s total investments have amounted to about Czk 80 million, going primarily into the purchase of Belgian furnaces and machining centres. Skloform produces moulds for the production of packaging, drink, technical, laboratory, lighting and construction glassware. Its largest customers include Vetropack Moravia Glass and Avirunion; both of the Czech Republic, although Skloform exports roughly 30% of its production, mostly to Germany and is currently making efforts to break into the Ukrainian market. Skloform is 100% owned by Ferdinand Stasek and is organised as a holding company. The newly founded Czech-based Stasek AS, unrelated to the holding company, was put into operation in April to turn out products for the glass industry, complementing the range of Skloform“s products.
